2002 - Phat Phest
Several Jam Pak teens (and almost teens) performed at the City of Chandler's Phat Phest '02 in May. This talent show, sponsored by the city's Park and Recreation Department, is open to all Chandler teens. 2002 marked our first year performing at this event.
Two band members also performed solo selections. Each Jam Pak performer recieved a trophy and T-shirt for their participation.
Thanks to Chandler Park & Rec for this fun event!
2002 - Youngtown City Hall
Jam Pak performed at the City Hall in Youngtown, Arizona on July 13, 2002. Our thanks to Paul Wilson and our other hosts for having us! We had a great time!
2002 - Sheraton San Marcos Hotel
Jam Pak helped kick off the holiday season by performing at the Sheraton San Marcos hotel on Saturday, November 7, 2002 just prior to the Chandler Parade of Lights and Tumbleweed Tree Lighting! The beautiful decorations, including the annual gingerbread house contest, set a bright, festive air for this fun-filled community event.
2002 - Gilbert Days Parade
Saturday, November 23, 2002 was an exciting day as Jam Pak performed in the annual Gilbert Days Parade. Invited by RE/MAX agents Kathy Nichols and Joy Rice to ride their float, we had a terrific view of the crowds lining the mile-plus parade route!
This was also our first endeavor with a "mobile" sound system! Now we can really say we're movers and shakers! What a great way to enjoy a beautiful Arizona fall day.
Thanks to Kathy and Joy for sponsoring us!
2002 - Holy Spirit Catholic Church
Jam Pak was honored to perform for mass at Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Tempe, Arizona on Saturday, September 7th, 2002.
The day was full of blessings - a much needed September rain, friends and family, a lovely service, and lots of fun afterwards. We hope that we also were a blessing for those in attendance.
Our thanks to this church community for asking us to share our music.
2003- Jam Pak Trophy Presentations at the ABA
One of Jam Pak's goals is to teach basic music skills to each member. Band members work to learn a series of songs and tasks which will allow them to jam along with bluegrass musicians throughout the country. Those mastering these skills are awarded some well-deserved recognition from friends and family, along with a beautiful trophy sponsored by the Arizona Bluegrass Association.
Band leader Anni Beach and Arizona Bluegrass Association member Paul Wilson awarded these special trophies to ten hard-working band members on Sunday, February 2, 2003 at the Sheraton San Marcos hotel in Chandler, Arizona.
Our special thanks to:
- Paul Wilson and the ABA
- Our many family, friends, and supporters who joined us for this special event
- The Sheraton San Marcos fo hosting us
- Howard & Susan Anderson for all of the photos
- Our own Mr. & Mrs. Vincent and Anni Beach
We couldn't do it without you all!
