The whole band journeyed to Klagetoh, Arizona to introduce bluegrass instruments and gospel songs to people of the Navajo Reservation. The multigenerational band spent an incredible four days which included teaching simple gospel songs and chords on the guitar, banjo, mandolin, and fiddle. Jam Pak gave an evening concert for thec ommunity and played for Catholic Mass at Klagetoh and Greasewood Missions.
These photos are precious memories of transporting bluegrass to one of the truly rural areas of America. Our music mission is established as we left four banjos and four guitars in the hands of new players. A Jam Pak Music Missionarywill continue close communication and make the 500 mile round-trip periodically to keep the players growing in their music.
